So who else is going to be a Titan as their main character!? I will be making a Defender Titan class because they seem to be extremely helpful in raids from what it looks like. All about working as a team to get through it ALL! What is a Titan? The Titan is a class in Destiny that specializes in Heavy Weapons and armor. - During GDC Bungie described the class as similar to Master Chief, Storm Troopers, Clone Troopers, or any of your generic space marine. - They can be played be all three classes but it is more likely in lore to see Human and Exo Titans than Awokem Titans as the Awoken are considered to be a softer race. Whats its duty within a group? - Any veteran mmo player that takes one glance at the Titan knows the answer. The Titan is the Tank of the group and his duty is to keep the enemies attention and damage on himself while the hunters and warlocks dish out the beatings. - As a Tank you will most likely be the group leader. You will be expected to know how to keep aggro (the enemies attention) and how to do that in every instance (map/level). You decide which group of enemies to engage first and how to engage them.

I'll be charging in with you! Defender Titan as my main for the survivability, and the arc grenade that is rumored to work like the Warlock's looks awesome.

My top two choices are Titan and Hunter. I'm leaning towards a Titan but am fine to roll a Hunter if the Clan is a bit saturated on Titans. I plan to play both sub classes of Titan but will definitely focus on a Striker. My loadout will depend on the scenario and who else I'm rolling with in the group. It seems like only a couple sub classes will be mandatory for raids and those being a defender Titan and Sunsinger Warlock. Right now it looks like those sub classes have the greatest support capability and can really contribute to buffing a group. Competitive Multiplayer really benefits from a healthy mix of classes.

A good amount of love for titans, that's great. I get the feeling on the forums that hunters and warlocks get more love.
Just wanted to correct something in my previous post about the Defender's grenade, it's VOID damage that ticks extremely quick, not ARC.
Alright, special weapons... You find an awesome shotgun, sniper rifle, and fusion rifle all at the same time and you're about to jump into Shores of Time. Which are you going with?
Personally, I love the shotgun + melee for the corners in that pretty tight map. But any could be used well in the right situation

I build my character for agility to close gaps as fast as possible. Learning the timing on a slide after sprinting really helps to close gaps. Sliding around corners makes you a harder target to hit and catches your opponent off guard. Crouching is worth your time as well. You will generally see your sprinting opponent on the radar before they see you on theirs if you're crouched. By the time they see you on their radar you can be sliding in for a shotgun kill!

I didn't see sliding used effectively very much at all in the beta, and it will likely be essential at high levels of play, good call. That radar was pretty funky to get used to, if it's fainter then they're on a different floor than you, etc. But it lights up when someone sprints, for sure. That new Venus trailer had that really cool helm. The hunters get their awesome wolf cape, the warlocks get their amazing Sunbreakers, but hey, titans get this. Finally, my dream of RPing Daft Punk and blasting off rockets can legally be achieved.
